raccolta mirtilli

As part of Christmas in Manifattura, Bottega Biologica hosts a special tasting event dedicated to the artisanal organic products of Le Sorgenti, a historic farm from the Tuscan Apennines specializing in organic jams, fruit juices, and handcrafted preserves.

During the event, Pierangelo Marella — founder of Le Sorgenti — shares the story of a project born in the 1980s in the mountains of Mugello, where berries, rose hips, and the prized Marrone del Mugello IGP chestnuts are still organically cultivated today.

Guests will have the opportunity to taste some of the farm’s signature products:

Mugello chestnut cream;

organic rose hip jam;

artisanal organic raspberry jam.

Le Sorgenti is considered one of the pioneering organic farming realities in Tuscany. For more than forty years, the farm has directly cultivated the fruit used in its jams and juices, following a sustainable agricultural model that respects the mountain environment of the Tuscan Apennines.

One of the defining characteristics of Le Sorgenti’s production is the high percentage of fruit used in every recipe, with artisanal methods designed to preserve the natural flavor and nutritional qualities of the ingredients.

Particularly appreciated is the organic rose hip jam, made from berries naturally rich in vitamin C and harvested between September and October. It perfectly represents the philosophy of the farm: transforming high-quality organic fruit into genuine products deeply connected to the territory and the seasons.

The event offers an opportunity to discover one of Tuscany’s historic organic producers, learn more about direct farm-to-jar production, and taste artisanal products made exclusively with fruit cultivated by the farm itself.

A tasting experience dedicated to local flavors, food culture, and artisanal organic farming, hosted inside the spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence.

Le Sorgenti’s artisanal organic products are also available year-round at Bottega Biologica inside Manifattura Tabacchi, where visitors can find a selection of their organic jams, chestnut cream, and specialties from the Tuscan Apennines.
